Training and Professional Experiences
Cinzia Carnevali has been Psychoanalyst Full Member of SPI since 2010.
She is interested in relational, transferal and countertransferal phenomena which involve the analyst as person (in the analytical couple), exploring the primary and pre-verbal areas of the mind.
She worked from 1978 to 1987 for the Rimini North USL (Local Health Department)
as Psychologist for the Maternal and Children Service and for the Family
Counselling. Together with some colleagues, she founded a new Children and Adolescent
Psychotherapy Service, which takes charge of psychoanalitycal psychotherapies in Institutions.
She worked with adolescents and adults with serious neurotic and psychotic disorders in collaboration with the
Mental Health and Psychiatric Assistance Department and with therapeutic Institutions.
Registered in the Official Register of Psychotherapists of the Emilia-Romagna Region no.187 since 1987,
she is a self-employed professional
She is Group Psychoanalyst (from 1982 until today) and Didactic Member S.I.Ps.A
- C.O.I.R.A.G
(In 1992 the different schools of group analysis joined together in COIRAG, to which several SPI psychoanalysts belong)..
She has led and still leads training courses with psychoanalytic orientation for teachers and healthcare workers of Psychiatric Departments and SERT (Services for Drug Addictions).
Since 1980, as trainer with a psychoanalytic orientation,
she has carried out several training activities for the Education Ministry
(addressed to teachers, professors, managers, school psychologists) and for the Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany, Marche Regions
(addressed to health-care operators, doctors and psychologists for Addictions Centres).

For several years her training activity has been chiefly addressed
to the training of healthcare operators- doctors and psychologists
in the health area- in pediatrics and in the service in charge for eating disorders
and the addictions centres both in her area and in central Italy.
By letting the operators work together and making them more aware
of the institutional and basic unconscious dynamics, an effective containing in situations of
great suffering and demand for therapy can be created
Since 2000 she has been a SPI Associate Member
and Member of the Psychoanalytic Association. At present, as SPI Full Member, she is entitled to
carrying out training psychoanalysis for the Italian Psychoanalysis Society
Since 2000 she has been a professional trainer for students of
COIRAG di Roma, Padova e Bologna.
